I’m curious, what’s your bear case for AMD? A resurgent INTC? Not being able to do much in AI/GPUs? ARM server CPU competition whether cloud optimized or not? ARM client CPUs?

INTC is on it's deathbed. I feel like sell-side and buy-side analysts have made crazy optimistic assumptions regarding MI300/325X staying power once Blackwell ramps production. There is going to be a cliff where AI/datacenter GPU plumets. ARM server CPU competition is mostly Intel's problem. AMD will continue to gain share in datacenter CPU but TAM not quite as big as it once was. ARM client CPUs are again Intel's problem. AMD will continue gaining share. Plenty of INTC share to go around.

Ya problem is next year numbers, not sure how they gonna hit the growth expectations, just by adding more HBM in newer generation of AI chips? lol

I agree with a fair bit of what you say about AMD, but the bear case is basically short term GPU AI sales not measuring up to expectations?

I would not buy AMD at current valuations, but as a long term holder I’m not bothered by short term dips.

Yes I agree. Good long term investment but within the next 2-3 quarters, AMD will miss the crazy GPU/AI expectations set up by the street. I would cover and buy some shares for the long haul at 120.

Ming-Chi Kuo has been saying Apple is just about to get their modem right for years.

I don't think we will truly know until an iPhone with an inhouse modem is released.
