I personally think nVidia is doing it to build an alternative to Broadcom for a semi-custom ecosystem that still stays within the nVidia umbrella for as many other things/technologies as possible. Jensen is happy to sell you other things even if you don't want to use GPUs for everything. He'd rather you not go the team TPU/Broadcom side.

See the below for more on my thoughts when I bought a small position in my non-Semis 'Fun Portfolio' -

Should have kept my eye on the ball and moved it to the serious money Semis portfolio ... but only so much time in the world to follow developments.

One of the things you learn if you invest long enough is that strong opinions may be held weakly 😛

Am I the only one who is insanely scared of NAND? I'm pretty bullish on memory, but I fear the Chinese will expand production faster than we expect, and they don't have essentially any technological gap in NAND, unlike DRAM. At the same time, I also think demand will be close to unlimited, but I don't understand the premium SanDisk and Kioxia have compared to Samsung / SK Hynix valuation wise

CPU shortage and AMD has best chiplet strategies, best packaging, and best binning Strats. They obviously also have the best CPUs in the industry by good margin so will print money, especially on 5 nm Genoa

I am just wondering why do you have high exposure on Sandisk. If YMTC keep increasing its capacity, Current shortage analysis might be meaningless. Unless they have something like a HBM. I understand that you are skeptical on HBF, So I am seeing no reason for you to own SNDK.

Very interesting that you went Long Cerebras, considering IPO's usually shit the bed and they are trading at 100x sales, + too many unlocks in the next 6 months (considering insiders are up like 5000x I think regardless of where they see the future of the company they will sell to diversify??)

Why’d you cut NVTS?

This guy is going to lose his gains which he lucked and stumbled upon. Went from full on hatred towards SNDK and many others to making them big fraction of his portfolio

Why do you worry about prepaying the govt when its just a late penalty that you are probably outperforming? + the fact you are already leveraged on cash

Every Quarter, S&P 500 has a rebalances and adds and subtracts companies from the index. The announcement is this Friday and Marvell is the top candidate to be added. A lot of the buying this week could be people front running that announcement.

It seems the market is valuing companies that plaster the financial reports with "AI income" and have QoQ decreases on operating income.

Because profit and growth going together does not matter anymore. (or by how much)

The most professional analysis u ever done! If MRVL’s execution capability can catch up ALAB, the share price should be over $1K soon lol
